It’s my birthday this month, so I’ve set myself a challenge to extract the best out of September 2013!
The challenge is called My Birthday Month and it is an exercise in self-discipline, overcoming fears, and training yourself to experience more happiness, love, and fun.
This idea has come from my amazing sister Karen, who is also a New York yoga-instructing legend-in-the-making and nutritional genius. Don’t take my word for it, check out her website and if you’re in New York, get your beautiful selves down to one of her classes: www.karenyoungyoga.com
This month I will:
- increase the positivity in my life (bingo fans – you’ve experienced this in ‘The Vortex Of Positivity”)
- do things that scare me
- build on the amazing love and friendships I have
- to have as much fun as possible in everything I do
- to be thankful for the great things in my life
- do things I always say are important to me but never get around to
I know, it may sound a bit fruity and new-age. But those of you who have been attending my recent events (especially I Love Lists goers), or following me on various social networks will know that I’ve been undergoing a bit of transformation. I’ve gone blonde, got a puppy, I’m about to launch an events company, and so on. Don’t get me wrong, life is good and I know I’m very lucky – but I also know life is short. And I want to do it properly.
I am taking on the My Birthday Month challenge alongside all my existing responsibilities and duties because I believe I will come out the other side with an even better chance of getting the best out of ‘this thing called life. So when you call up that shrink in Beverly Hills, you know the one…‘.
I’ll be posting my progress on this here blog, be sure to subscribe for the play-by-play! If you’d like to participate in the challenge as well, by all means do! I’d love to hear about your experiences.
Love, Jess Indeedy xx
